The City of Grosse Pointe Farms Parks and Recreation Department is looking to fill the following positions:

Seasonal Part-Time Lifeguard PositionApplication
Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe pool for residents and their guests.  Applicants must be lifeguard certified through the American Red Cross program.  Each year we begin accepting applications in January for the upcoming summer season.

Seasonal Part-Time Maintenance- Application
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Department, duties include maintaining clean grouds, landscape duties, painting, some janitorial and cleaning duties and maintaining Kerby Field baseball diamonds.  Duties are not limited to the above.
This position begins in May.  You will be asked to work 40 hours per week, with weekends included.

Seasonal Park-Time Janitorial (Male and Female) - Application
Duties includes setting up and taking down tables and chairs for room rentals in the Community Building, cleaning all restrooms and bath houses throughout the park and cleaning all the buildings thoroughly on a daily basis. Duties are not limited to the above.

Seasonal Part-Time Harbor Security
- Application
Harbor Security persons are responsible for working kindly with patrons and ensuring all boats are safe throughout the Harbor.  Shifts for this position are 4:00 p.m. – Midnight or Midnight – 8:00 a.m. all days of the week, but no more than 32 hours per week.

Seasonal Part-Time Gate Attendant - Application
The Gate Attendant is responsible for allowing Grosse Pointe Farms residents and their guest(s) into Pier Park with the correct identification. The Gate Attendant must check all Park Passes for validity and verify that guest(s) of residents are authorized to enter Pier Park. The Gate Attendant must be able to work with the public, provide accurate information, and direct them to the proper person if they do not have specific information requested by the park visitors.

Office Attendant - Application
The Park Office Attendant is responsible for working with park visitors, providing information on park activities and programs, registering participants for various recreation programs, answering phone calls, working with groups renting building facilities, perform other general office responsibilities, and perform related work as required.
