City Manager
The City Manager, who is appointed by the City Council, carries out the policies and is responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations of the City.
After obtaining a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from Michigan State University, Mr. Reeside interned with the City of Gibraltar, Michigan and was subsequently hired as the Assistant City Administrator and Director of Public Works. While working, Mr. Reeside earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
In 1991, Mr. Reeside was hired as Assistant City Manager/City Clerk of Grosse Pointe Farms and served in that capacity until he was appointed City Manager in 2003.
Mr. Reeside sits on several boards including the Grosse Pointe Farms Foundation and Moross Greenway Initiative. Professional associations include membership with the International City Managers Association (ICMA) and the Michigan Local Government Managers Association (MLGMA).
Mr. Reeside is married to wife Sara and has two children, Ethan and Maya.
