Bid Opportunities

The City of Grosse Pointe Farms announced today that it is has joined the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN), a BidNet e-procurement system that provides vendors with an easier and more economical way to access and compete for local government bids.

The Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network connects 1,470 departments from 126 local government agencies and provides a bid notification system that gives vendors instant access to bids, RFPs, quotes and amendments online.

The City of Grosse Pointe Farms joined the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network on March 7 providing its vendors with convenient access to bid information for its solicitation postings and all other participating agencies on the system.

The City of Grosse Pointe Farms invites all local vendors to access its upcoming solicitations by joining the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network. Vendor benefits of registering on http://www.mitn.info include:

  1. 24-hour access to local government opportunitie
  2. Notification customized to the vendors’ products or services provided
  3. Reliable and timely delivery of notifications, addendums and documents
  4. Advanced notification of Term-Contracts
  5. E-Bid and E-Quote Submission

The network was developed and is powered by BidNet’s e-procurement solution, SourceSuite, an Albany, N.Y. company that manages 15 government purchasing groups nationwide.

Vendors who provide goods and services can register for the system to receive bid opportunities from the City of Grosse Pointe Farms and the system’s other local agencies. Vendors register online at http://www.mitn.info.
